Oceanfront Lodge

I stayed here in late April and again in late October. The time in April was noisy, with lots of families and kids running around. We didn't have a good experience. In October the hotel was half empty and quiet. The room was clean, spacious and had a great ocean view. It was delightful sitting by the picture windows in the restaurant and watching the dramatic storm surf nearby. The hotel is in a picturesque spot near the Battery Point Lighthouse and some sea stacks in the surf. You can take Front Street from the hotel to us 101 and good restaurants and points of interest in Crescent City. We enjoyed our stay so much we can't wait to return.

The views: breathtaking! [Perfect for artists to take a beat and sketch the scene], The bed: thankfully a dense and plush foam, perfect for my disabled and painful joints; fully stocked bathroom, with a microwave, mini fridge, T.V, and A.C. While I need dead silence to fall asleep, the ocean waves are rhythmic enough to please most restless sleepers. And they got us booked with less than an hours' prior notice. Couldn't ask for better service

While this lodge may be a little out dated the location and the service of the staff make it 4 stars. The views and location of the hotel are amazing. We were visiting in February. Ocean front walking to downtown for food and coffee. Continently located next to lighthouse, park, playground, etc. The staff from check in/out and even in the restaurant were very friendly. Shoutout to the bartender "Con" she was very kind.

Rooms were nice, staff were friendly, the food was amazing. The cook Mike Glaspy definitely knows what he's doing in the kitchen. Makes the experience that much better when u don't have to look for somewhere to eat especially if u have been traveling all day and night.

Nikky, the manager?, was super nice. We needed a room at the last minute as we got a flat tire on a Sunday and we got a room with a balcony, that is a must! And the next day he even drove us to the tire place to pick up our car. This hotel is literally right on the beach and a block from Seaquake brewery.

Zero complaints! The location is convenient to the Redwoods, and local beaches. The room was spacious and clean , with a beautiful ocean view ,comfortable beds and a jacuzzi tub. The facility is a little dated ,but overall it was clean and a good value. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant located inside the lodge has good food and it is convenient . The beach is private and roomy enough for our family to enjoy. My family enjoyed the indoor pool and the hot tub . It was pleasant and quiet, though we stayed 3 week nights.

This hotel has everything you need and nothing too fancy. It’s definitely on the older side and not very glamorous, but it has the basics covered, is clean, and is in a stunning spot! The room was clean with fridge and microwave, the staff in the hotel and restaurant were kind, and it’s dog friendly! Quick walk to the lighthouse, beautiful scenery on site. The sauna was an added plus, especially on the rainy, cold Christmas Eve we stayed!

The lodge was awesome and in a great location. We had a balcony that faced the ocean. Everyone was nice and accommodating. The lodge was clean and had everything we needed. The restaurant food was yummy. We will stay again. We didn't use the pool or hot tub or workout room.
